16. Giving Thanks

So I know this week you may be traveling, grocery shopping, cooking, hosting, watching football, and perhaps fighting a gnarly hangover. So I wanted to keep this post short and sweet and just give you something to consider during this Thanksgiving Holiday.

In previous posts, we have discussed the idea of, “You get what You Give!” I want to focus on this concept more closely and discuss how this also relates to Giving Thanks.

When You Give Thanks and Express Gratitude, you Receive more things to be Grateful for.

The Spiritual Law of Giving and Receiving recognizes that abundance occurs through the exchange and flow of energy and of consciousness. Please note, that abundance doesn’t necessarily just correlate with money, in this respect  it refers to the amplitude of all that is good. Like a river that flows, positive, constructive energy must continue it’s movement to maintain its power. If water becomes stagnant, it loses its power. As the water sits and stops flowing, it begins to spoil and through time turns toxic. In comparison, the constant energy flow of giving and receiving is what permits one to build the powerful momentum of manifesting abundance. Furthermore, by restricting this energy flow, we create negative occurrences that depletes our power and limits our potential to creating abundance.

“Okay, What Cynthia???”

Yeah I know that’s what you’re probably thinking.

Don’t Worry. Many people struggle with this concept. In fact many people struggle because they focus on scarcity. They say,

“How Can I Give, if I don’t have enough for Myself?”

Please remember and consider that before anything we are all vibrational beings. Everything that is materialistically surrounding us was created by and is continuously responding to and  projecting energetic vibrations. Therefore, if we offer an energetic vibration, whether it be thanks, a prayer, a compliment, or a helping hand, we are vibrationally adding to this positive energetic flow. And if we continue to give this, it is by Universal Law that we will equally Receive that of which we have given.

Okay, so an AWESOME easy Book that really goes into detail with so many different ways to practice this Law is a book called, “The Magic” By Rhonda Byrne. It’s an amazing book to read for yourself during the holidays, but also a great gift to Give. It helps you to understand and utilize the power of Gratitude. It provides powerful and effective ways to apply appreciation into your daily practice and magically note the positive changes that occur in every aspect of your life.

You can Buy it HERE:

In this Book, the author Rhonda Byrne, shares several examples of how amazing spiritual leaders throughout time have tried to stress the importance of gratitude. She notes:

  • Muhammad said that gratitude for the abundance you’ve received is the best insurance that the abundance will continue.

  • Buddha said that you have no cause for anything but gratitude and joy.

  • Lao Tzu said that if you rejoice in the way things are, the whole world will belong to you.

  • Krishna said that whatever he is offered he accepts with joy.

  • King David spoke of giving thanks to the whole world, for everything between the heavens and the Earth.

  • And Jesus said thank you before he performed each miracle.

Clearly, there is something here. Gratitude is something we can all express regardless of our circumstances. Do not limit, victimize, or create excuses for yourself. You already have all that you need to create that of which you desire. Begin to practice and truly feel gratitude in your life and build the power within yourself to experience the beauty and Magic in all that you Create.

Please Enjoy Your Holiday. And be sure to Appreciate and live with Gratitude each and everyday. You are so Blessed and You have so much to share and Give to this World.

Happy Thanksgiving!
